This is an excerpt, from Project ASSATA a work inspired by the book "Assata", an autobiography written by Assata Shakur. The project is a work in progress which blends timelines in order to make critique on the current political climate. The work was created and has premiered at Georgian Court University (2017), Movement Research (2018), and the "Uptown Rising Choreographic Showcase" at the Bridge For Dance Studios (2018).
